OTHER CONDITIONS
This list shows the diversity of conditions that we have successfully treated at Stortford Grange.
A number of these conditions are not generally considered as being part of the physiotherapist’s
remit. Part of the reason for this is that conditions that we used to treat with
electrotherapy and specific rehabilitation programmes have largely been replaced
with new medications etc. But there are still occasions where Interferential Therapy
and tailored rehabilitation programmes, for example, have been shown to provide a
beneficial and long lasting effect. Asthma is one such example. Medication alone
does not improve the breathing patterns -
More research is needed to substantiate these claims, but many of these conditions have been shown to be at least improved over the 36 years of clinical experience of Wendy Emberson.
